Supplies and storage
Trimix must be stored refrigerated at 36°F to 46°F. Use a 29G or 30G 1/2-inch insulin syringe.
Step by step
1. Preparation: Clean the vial top with alcohol swab and draw prescribed dose.
2. Safe Injection Zones: Inject strictly into the lateral shaft at the 10:00 or 2:00 clock position. Avoid the 12:00 dorsal midline and 6:00 ventral urethra.
3. Administration: Insert needle perpendicular (90 degrees). Depress plunger, remove needle, and hold firm pressure for 3-5 minutes.
If an erection lasts too long
Erections typically last 30 to 60 minutes. If erection persists past 3 hours, take oral pseudoephedrine (Sudafed). If erection reaches 4 hours, contact the clinic or emergency room immediately.
